Meet your facilitators
Rebecca Hawthorn is an IPHM-accredited practitioner trained as a HineHau BreathWav facilitator and Reiki practitioner. Through Breath Refinery, she offers private breathwork sessions, group workshops and workplace sessions across Auckland.
Rebecca Jennings is an Auckland-based breathwork and sound practitioner. Her approach combines breath, music, sound, voice, embodiment and presence. Her training includes HineHau, SOSHA and Elevare, and she supports HineHau facilitator training and programme delivery.
Together, Rebecca and Rebecca facilitate accessible, thoughtfully structured breathwork experiences that allow participants to engage at their own pace.
Before booking
Conscious connected breathing can affect heart rate and blood pressure and may bring about strong physical or emotional responses. Your safety is important, and this style of breathwork may not be suitable for everyone.
Please contact the facilitators before booking if you have, or have had a history of:
Cardiovascular disease, a previous heart attack, or high or unstable blood pressure
An aneurysm or a family history of aneurysm
Epilepsy or seizures
Glaucoma or retinal detachment
Recent surgery or a significant injury
Severe or currently unmanaged mental-health symptoms, including psychosis or paranoia
Asthma or another condition that may affect breathing
Please also contact the facilitators before booking if you are pregnant or recently postpartum.
If you use an inhaler, bring it with you.
Having one of these conditions does not necessarily mean you cannot participate. The facilitators may need to discuss whether the workshop is appropriate for you, recommend an adaptation, or suggest that you seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional first.
By booking, you acknowledge that breathwork may produce physical, emotional or energetic experiences. This workshop is a complementary wellbeing practice and is not a substitute for medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis or treatment.
